Wan Choon How, General Manager of Konzen Malaysia
Wan Choon How was appointed as General Manager of Konzen Malaysia since September 2009.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical), 1st Class Honor at University of Malaya. Starting his engineering career in the water and waste water treatment with a reputable consultancy and contracting firm in Kuala Lumpur namely QT Engineering and Consultancy Sdn Bhd. In 1997, he handled numerous domestic sewage water treatment projects of large development and construction project in housing development, theme park and private industries; involving in design, sales, procurement, project execution, operation and maintenance environment ranges from 1000PE to approximately 100,000PE.
In 1999, he joined KONZEN group (previous as Enersave Group) as service engineer, responsible in maintaining system operation, troubleshooting, project design and execution, system improvement, and on site team management. He developed his technical exposure and maintenance strength from major electronic semiconductors and wafer manufacturer MNCs, petrochemical, oil and gas and power plant.
In 2003, he was appointed as Service Manager, tasked to standardization and development of the operation protocols and procedures in service department, which eventually leaded KONZEN to become a total solution provider water management.
In 2004, he was appointed as Service and Project Manager, overseeing both service and project department. He started to involve actively in large scale UPW and WWTP projects design and implementation over years besides handling his routine tasks as service manager. He was the Quality Management Representative (QMR) in KONZEN since 2004, establishing, executing and maintaining quality management system in KONZEN ISO9001:2000 committee for certification. He set up the KONZEN’s ISO/QAQC/Doc Con department and was the Head of Department (HOD) since 2005. He had also successfully completed the IRCA Registered Auditor/Lead Auditor in ISO9001 standard implementation and maintenance.
In 2007, he was appointed as Assistance General Manager, continue playing roles in diversification of KONZEN’s business into other industries sectors like power plant, domestic drinking water and sea water desalination, while supporting KONZEN in its new biogas division, KONZEN Clean Energy, in our effort to venture into biogas and renewable energy.
In 2009, he was appointed as General Manager in Konzen Malaysia operation. He continues his role in sustaining the company development and diversification plan into other sectors and industries besides expanding regionally into ASEAN and ASIA.
